Cancellations:
All cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. There is a $40 “same day cancellation fee” for one hour appointments that can be paid at our next appointment.
The fee is $20 if the session is for a half hour.
The fee is $50 if the session is for an hour and a half.
The same day cancellation fee will be waived if no call was made by me to confirm the appointment in the 24 hours previous to our appointment.
This fee excludes emergency cancellations due to medical emergencies, sickness, car trouble and weather.
If, in the event, I myself cancel same day without emergency reasons or fail to show up to our appointment your next appointment will be free.
Speaking of emergency cancellations:
In the event of precipitation, especially that of snow: be prepared for cancellations at any time: I do not take snow lightly, even in light snow. You will receive a call if an appointment is cancelled due to snow or other severe weather.
Being on Time
Every effort is made to start the session on time. However, people can’t always help being late so a 15 minute time buffer is acceptable.
In the case of starting late the session may be shortened at the regular price depending on whether I have another client waiting more than 15 minutes or if the late client has to be elsewhere.
If in the event that I myself am late to an appointment, the cost will be adjusted if the time an appointment must be shortened.
Please:
I keep my cost low as to make this healing art more available to all.
I cannot negotiate this price.
There are no refunds on massages or the purchase of gift certificates.
Personal Boundaries:
All clients can expect a clean and safe environment, full confidentiality and respect from the therapist. For this reason I encourage clients to not inquire about another clients massage experience.
Proper sheet draping techniques are used at all times: the client is covered except for the area being worked on.
Proper boundaries are established early in the client/therapist relationship: the client decides if and when there is any discussion during the session, how much pressure is applied and if there are any areas to avoid.
Both client and therapist have a right to feel safe in every session: open ended statements, sexual jokes or suggestions, implied or evident harassment or the crossing of personal boundaries will not be tolerated.
If the client is made to feel uncomfortable they can stop the session at any time.
If the therapist is made to feel uncomfortable she may stop the session at any time.
Please thoroughly list all injuries, surgeries, medical issues and heart conditions on your intake form as these may contraindicate (be made worse by) massage. Some heart conditions including high blood pressure must be cleared by a Dr. before massage can be employed.
I am not a doctor. I cannot diagnose anything. But I can refuse to perform a session if there is a reason to believe there is a serious medical issue with the client.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this through and I hope to see you soon!
